“A chance meeting with Vivienne Westwood on the London Underground led to working alongside her and her team, followed by a decade as a stylist for international fashion houses and luxury brands. Buying and selling vintage in Notting Hill, West London, an invitation to serve as royal dresser at Kensington Palace, and a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Interior Design further shaped the quietly distinctive British world we create today.
From Notting Hill, West London, to the West Country, we are an independent luxury brand rooted in family, heritage and the beauty of what is passed down. Our heirloom-quality homeware and ready-to-wear for the whole family bring a contemporary edge to town and country, bringing our distinctive British style to homes around the world.
After leaving my childhood home in a small Cornish fishing port to seek my fortune in the vibrant city of London in the 1990s, I spent a decade immersed in the world of fashion, working alongside some of the industry’s most influential figures. During this time, I was involved in shows set within some of Britain’s most iconic architectural buildings – experiences that continue to influence our collections today. Alongside my work as a stylist in the fashion industry, I ran a small business buying and selling couture, vintage clothing, and rare retro homeware, trading primarily at Portobello Market and throughout Notting Hill.
There, I built a loyal client base of influential figures within the fashion world. With the support of The Prince’s Trust, which awarded me a £3,000 start-up grant, and guidance from industry mentors, I was able to transform this early venture into something far more meaningful – a journey that would, in time, lead to Oscar & Patch.
Inspired by the dynamism and history of London and the traditions of English nautical life, Oscar & Patch developed an individual style known as Le Style Anglais. That spirit remains at the heart of the brand: between town and country, the serenity of Cornwall and Devon and the energy of London,
age-honoured craft meets an innovative edge.

Founded in 2008 by stylist and architectural interior designer Lisa Baker, we began as Oscar & Patch with a simple ambition: to create beautifully considered homeware, whimsical enough for a child’s room yet sophisticated enough to belong throughout the home.
At the time, finding homeware for the whole family without compromising on style was a challenge. With so much feeling either overly playful or uninspiring, we saw an opportunity to bring something different: distinctive pieces that balance character, comfort and timeless British style.

“Our charming, instantly recognisable hand-drawn logo evokes the origins of our English house: the story of a Cornish boy and his dog. Our founder’s first-born son, Oscar, and his faithful friend, Patch, became our original muses and much-loved brand mascots — a timeless symbol of family, companionship and the heart of Oscar & Patch today.”

In 2026, we began a new chapter, introducing our most extensive collection to date. Building on our original homeware collection, we refined familiar pieces and introduced sleepwear and loungewear for women and their children, bringing our distinctive British sensibility to the way we dress and live.
Along the way, many people and organisations have played a meaningful part in our story, and we remain deeply grateful for their support. From a £3,000 grant from The Prince’s Trust, now The King’s Trust, at the very beginning, to support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Creative England and the “She Started It” BIPC Grant, each has helped us move forward. We were also honoured to receive Theo Paphitis’ #SBS (Small Business Sunday) award.
Over the decades, we have received significant recognition, including from
Carole Middleton, mother of Catherine, Princess of Wales, for our collections, designed with a distinctly understated British elegance. This recognition reflects our enduring commitment to craftsmanship, restraint in design, and a very British sense of ease.
